What is a Pack and what is a Pack Meeting?  A Cub Scout pack is a group of dens.  Each den is a part of Pack 104.  During the school year the pack usually meets on the third Tuesday of the month so you can receive recognition for the hard work you have done with your den and with your family.  Not only that, it is a time to learn what the other dens are doing, find out  about up-coming pack activities, meet other Cub Scout families, and most importantly – to have a lot of fun!!!

What is a Den and what is a Den Meeting? A den is a group of boys in the same grade.  In the den, you will learn how to conduct a flag ceremony, participate in a service project, make invitations to the Blue and Gold Banquet, earn Belt Loops, and work on fun achievements to earn the badge for your rank.  The dens meet once a week on the day listed above.

What do I need to get started?  Only a few things are needed.  After registering as a Cub Scout you should purchase a Cub Scout Handbook ($3.60 - $6.50) for your grade level, which is available at Nathan’s Men Store just south of Munn Park in downtown.  The Cub Scout uniform ($8-$65) is also available at Nathan’s.  The handbook contains a parent’s guide and all of the cool things you will complete in order to advance in Cub Scouts.  You will complete some of the requirements in the den meetings, but some of the requirements you will complete at home.  Bring your handbook to every Den Meeting to have your progress recorded.

How do I get information?  Each den does its best to keep everyone informed about planned events by using fliers or newsletters.  This web site www.cubpack104.org will provide information about pack events.

For the Parents:  Since Cub Scouting includes the family we want you to join your son at every meeting.  We will be busy doing activities and there will be times your son will need your help.  It is a wonderful way to devote one-on-one time with your boy. Learn what Cub Scouts are about so you can live the ideas, values, and morals we will teach your son.
